total oil

Total Oil’s project team approached Stirling Grey to offer an alternative approach to the larger, more established main contractors on the competitive tender list. Never wanting to disappoint Stirling Grey rose to the challenge and, after a lengthy and rigorous process, were appointed as design and build firm to deliver this French oil giant’s London headquarters.

Working initially with their designer, services consultant and city project management practice, we immediately understood the client’s brief and what they wanted to achieve from the new building. The project included working within a Grade II listed building which presented challenges both in terms of project complexity and programme.

Dedicated cooling systems were installed, bespoke joinery and staff breakout area. Complete new power and data infrastructure meant resilience and capacity for future growth. Stirling Grey helped the client with the transition from more traditional cellular space to one that is more agile, flexible and modular in reacting to the business’s changing needs – including flexible meeting space, informal meeting pods and enhanced AV and technology solutions.
